Junior Preservation Architect
As a Junior Preservation Architect, you will work under the supervision of senior architects to assist in the preservation and restoration of historical buildings and structures in Clairvaux. Your responsibilities will include conducting site visits, researching building history and materials, developing preservation plans, creating drawings and specifications, and overseeing construction projects. You will also collaborate with other architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure that preservation projects meet all safety, structural, and aesthetic requirements. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with limited experience in the field of architecture who is passionate about historical preservation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field
- Knowledge of architectural history and preservation principles
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other architectural design software
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
Preferred:
- Previous experience in historic preservation or restoration projects
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
- Fluency in French or proficiency in another language spoken by the community where the historic buildings are located.
Salary: $1700 per month
City: Clairvaux (open to candidates from all nationalities)
