Shaper - Surfboard Designer and Builder


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shaper to join our surfboard manufacturing team in Pula. As a Shaper, you will be responsible for designing and building custom surfboards to meet the specific needs and preferences of our clients. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1700 per month.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Shaper, with a strong portfolio showcasing your designs and builds
- In-depth knowledge of surfboard design principles, materials, and construction techniques
- Ability to work with various shaping tools and equipment such as planers, sanders, and routers
- Experience in glassing, sanding, and finishing surfboards to achieve desired performance qualities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise measurements and specifications
- Good physical fitness for prolonged periods of standing, bending, lifting, and using power tools

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their surfing style, skill level, and design preferences for their custom board
- Design the surfboard shape using computer programs or hand-drawn templates
- Select appropriate materials such as foam blanks, fiberglass cloth, resin, and fins based on the design specifications
- Use shaping tools to cut the foam blank into the desired shape and add concaves or channels for increased performance
- Glass the board by applying layers of fiberglass cloth and resin onto the shaped blank
- Sand the board to achieve a smooth finish before adding graphics or decals
- Test ride each board to ensure it meets quality standards before delivering it to the client
