Heavy Equipment Operator


We are in need of a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in St. Petersburg. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of heavy machinery such as bulldozers, excavators, and cranes. Your main duties will include digging trenches, moving materials, and operating heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

Requirements:
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment
- Valid driver's license
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Great hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness

Responsibilities:
- Operate various types of heavy equipment according to job requirements
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while operating machinery
- Perform daily maintenance checks on equipment and report any issues or malfunctions
- Dig trenches, move materials, and complete other tasks as directed by supervisors
- Communicate effectively with team members and follow instructions from supervisors
- Complete paperwork accurately for each job performed
- Ensure that all equipment is returned to designated area at the end of each day
