Librarian



The city's leading library is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Librarian to join our team in Jerusalem. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection, assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries, and promoting literacy and education within the community.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection including cataloging, shelving, and weeding materials
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons with research and reference inquiries
- Plan and implement programs to promote literacy and education within the community
- Collaborate with other librarians to develop new collections and services
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in library science and implement best practices in daily tasks
- Maintain accurate records of library circulation statistics

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Experience working in a library setting preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient in using library databases and technology
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team

Preferred:
- Knowledge of cataloging standards such as MARC21 or RDA
- Experience working with diverse populations
Salary: $1500 per month

Location: Jerusalem
