Database Administrator

Our company in Utena is seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and reliable.

Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software and servers
- Monitor database performance and make necessary adjustments
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing backups and disaster recovery plans
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions
- Develop, implement, and maintain database policies and procedures
- Identify areas for improvement in database systems and make recommendations for enhancements
- Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration of databases with other systems
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in database technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Proficiency in SQL, Oracle, MySQL, or other database management systems
- Knowledge of data backup, recovery, security protocols, and disaster recovery procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues quickly
- Proven track record of managing multiple databases simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team

Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Database Administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Associate/Professional)
- Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS RDS)
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java or Python

Salary: $1500 per month (negotiable based on experience)
