Fitter Technician



We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter Technician to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a Fitter Technician, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining various mechanical systems and equipment.

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
- Perform fitting and fabrication of metal components using hand and power tools
- Install and align mechanical systems such as pumps, valves, motors, and bearings
- Conduct routine maintenance on mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during installation or maintenance processes
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop efficient solutions for mechanical problems
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing job duties

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fitter or similar role
- Strong understanding of mechanical principles, tools, and equipment
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions for extended periods of time
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to working with machinery

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1700 per month.
