Instrument Technician (Bergen, Norway)



The Instrument Technician will be responsible for maintaining, calibrating, and repairing various types of instruments and equipment used in industrial settings. They will work closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure that all instruments are functioning properly and safely. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on instruments such as pressure gauges, thermometers, flow meters, and level sensors
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with malfunctioning instruments
- Use specialized tools to calibrate instruments according to industry standards
- Install new instruments and integrate them into existing systems
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed on instruments
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to identify areas for improvement in instrument functionality and reliability
- Follow all safety procedures while working with electrical equipment

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience working with industrial instruments
- Familiarity with electrical systems and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills in English (Norwegian language skills would be a plus)
- Physically able to perform tasks such as climbing ladders, lifting heavy equipment, etc.

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1200 per month. This is a full-time position with no accommodation provided.

Location:
This position is located in Bergen, Norway. While preference will be given to candidates already living in Bergen or the surrounding area, we are open to considering applicants from other locations within Norway.
