Assistant Construction Manager
We are in search of a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Construction Manager to join our team in Mombasa. This position is ideal for a Nepali candidate with strong English skills, who is looking to gain experience in the construction industry. As an Assistant Construction Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with project planning, overseeing construction progress, and coordinating with contractors and other team members. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with project planning, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Monitor construction progress and ensure work is being completed according to plans and specifications
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and identify any potential issues or delays
- Prepare reports on project status and provide updates to senior management
- Assist with procurement of materials and equipment as needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols on job sites
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in construction management or related role
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) in English; knowledge of Nepali language a plus
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must have valid visa/work permit for Mombasa
Salary: $1600/month
