Data Mining Specialist

As a Data Mining Specialist, you will be responsible for extracting valuable information and insights from large data sets. Your main focus will be on analyzing data to identify patterns, trends, and correlations that can inform business decisions. You will use various techniques such as statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization to process and interpret the data. Your work will directly impact our company's strategies and help improve our overall performance.

Responsibilities:
- Identify relevant data sources and gather necessary information
- Clean and preprocess raw data to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Apply various data mining techniques to extract insights from complex datasets
- Use statistical tools to analyze the data and identify patterns and trends
- Develop predictive models using machine learning algorithms
- Present findings and insights through visualizations, reports, or presentations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in data mining techniques

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
- Proven experience in data mining or a related role
- Proficiency in SQL, Python or R for querying databases and manipulating large datasets
- Familiarity with statistical analysis tools such as SAS, SPSS or Matlab
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
- Experience with machine learning algorithms such as regression, classification, clustering etc.
- Excellent communication skills to present findings in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy
