Preservation Architect
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for restoring and preserving historical buildings and landmarks in the city of Los Angeles. You will work closely with city officials, historians, and other professionals to ensure that these structures are maintained for future generations. This is a contract job suitable for men who are passionate about preserving the cultural heritage of the city.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historical buildings and structures to determine necessary restoration and preservation work
- Develop plans and strategies for restoration projects, considering budgetary constraints and historical accuracy
- Collaborate with city officials and other professionals to obtain necessary permits and approvals for restoration work
- Oversee construction teams to ensure that restoration work is carried out according to plan and meets historical standards
- Monitor progress of restoration projects, making adjustments as needed to stay on schedule and within budget
- Document all aspects of restoration work for historical record keeping purposes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience in historic preservation or restoration projects
- Knowledge of local building codes, historic preservation guidelines, and construction techniques used in previous eras
- Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for historical accuracy
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Biometric passport required due to working on government-owned properties
Salary:
This is a contract job with a salary of $1800 per month. Accommodation is not provided.
