Part-Time Fitter

We are a construction company seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter to join our team on a part-time basis in the beautiful city of Os, Norway. The Fitter will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining various mechanical systems and equipment in buildings and structures.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fitter
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of different types of materials and their properties
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Physically fit with good manual dexterity
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Must have own tools

Responsibilities:
- Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of mechanical systems
- Measure materials accurately and mark cutting lines on them according to specifications
- Cut, thread, bend, or shape materials using hand or power tools
- Assemble components by welding, riveting, bolting or soldering methods
- Install mechanical systems such as pipes, valves, pumps, heating/cooling systems etc.
- Conduct maintenance checks on existing systems to ensure they are functioning properly
- Troubleshoot any issues with mechanical systems and make necessary repairs or replacements
