Pastry Chef
A luxury hotel in Lahore is seeking a skilled and creative Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating high-quality, visually appealing pastries and desserts that will delight our guests. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for developing and executing innovative dessert menus, managing inventory and ordering supplies, and training and supervising junior pastry chefs. We are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. The salary for this position is 1800$ per month.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute creative dessert menus that align with the hotel's overall culinary concept
- Ensure all pastries and desserts are prepared to the highest quality standards
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Train, mentor, and supervise junior pastry chefs
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Work closely with other members of the culinary team to ensure seamless service for guests
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and techniques to continuously improve our pastry offerings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role in a high-end restaurant or hotel
- In-depth knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, equipment, and safety standards
- Creative flair with the ability to develop unique dessert menus
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor junior staff members
- Excellent time management, organization, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
