Metal Worker - Faro, Portugal
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Metal Worker to join our team in Faro, Portugal. As a Metal Worker, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal products according to specifications and blueprints. This is a contract job with a salary of 1500$, without accommodation provided.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches or product specifications to determine materials required and methods of assembly.
- Measure and mark cutting lines on material using ruler, pencil, chalk or scribe.
- Operate various hand and power tools such as saws, shears, grinders to cut, shape and smooth metal.
- Weld or solder parts together using various welding techniques.
- Trim or file edges of parts to ensure snug fit.
- Assemble parts by bolting, screwing or riveting.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance.
- Repair damaged metal products by straightening bent areas and replacing missing parts.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Metal Worker.
- Knowledge of different types of metal including steel, aluminum, brass and copper.
- Familiarity with various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG and stick welding.
- Ability to read blueprints and follow technical drawings accurately.
- Physical dexterity with the ability to use hand tools effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate work within tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
