Caregiver for Elderly in Malindi, Kenya


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide support and assistance to elderly individuals in Malindi, Kenya. As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for assisting with daily tasks such as personal hygiene, medication reminders, meal preparation and light housekeeping. The ideal candidate will have experience working with the elderly and possess strong communication skills. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1400$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Administer medication as directed by a healthcare professional
- Prepare meals according to dietary restrictions and assist with feeding if necessary
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and tidying up living space
- Accompany clients to appointments or social outings
- Monitor changes in client's health condition and report any concerns to the appropriate parties
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience working as a caregiver for the elderly
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR is preferred
- Strong communication skills in English (knowledge of other languages is an asset)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods of time and bending
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. The schedule may include weekends and holidays. The role may require occasional evening or overnight shifts depending on the needs of the client. The work environment will primarily be in the client's home.
