Office Assistant for a busy office in Nairobi, Kenya
We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Office Assistant to join our team in Nairobi, Kenya. As an Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth operation of our office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors to the office in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and redirect calls as necessary
- Maintain and update filing systems, both electronic and physical
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail
- Schedule appointments and meetings for staff members
- Monitor inventory levels of office supplies and place orders when needed
- Assist with basic accounting tasks such as data entry and invoicing
- Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, and filing documents
- Keep the office clean and organized at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Office Assistant or in a similar role
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency
Salary: 1400$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
City: Nairobi, Kenya
Nationality Preference: Indian candidates preferred.
Note: This is a full-time position without accommodation. Candidates must have valid work permits for Kenya.
