Typesetter



As a Typesetter, you will be responsible for creating and formatting written materials for publication. This includes selecting and arranging fonts, adjusting spacing and margins, and ensuring overall visual consistency. You will work closely with editors, designers, and other team members to produce high-quality printed or digital documents.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize typography skills to select appropriate fonts and arrange text in a visually appealing manner
- Adjust spacing, margins, and other layout elements to ensure readability
- Collaborate with editors and designers to understand project requirements and make necessary adjustments
- Proofread materials for accuracy in spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Ensure consistency in style, format, and branding across all documents
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in typesetting software

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a typesetter or similar role
- Strong knowledge of typography principles and design software such as InDesign or QuarkXPress
- Attention to detail with excellent proofreading skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent time management skills to meet tight deadlines
- High level of creativity with an eye for detail

Education:
A degree in graphic design or a related field is preferred but not required. Relevant work experience will also be considered.

Salary:
This is a part-time position with a salary of $1800 per month.

This position is located in Faro, Portugal.
