Interpreter (English-Portuguese)


We are seeking a skilled and professional Interpreter to join our team in Funchal. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for providing accurate and culturally sensitive interpretation between English and Portuguese speakers. This is an urgent job position that requires a high level of proficiency in both languages and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide interpretation services during meetings, conferences, and other events
- Facilitate communication between English and Portuguese speakers by accurately conveying spoken messages
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Ensure cultural sensitivity and understanding when interpreting
- Conduct research and prepare for upcoming interpretations to ensure accuracy
- Use specialized vocabulary in specific fields, such as legal or medical terminology
- Keep abreast of industry trends and developments in both English and Portuguese languages

Requirements:
- Fluency in both English and Portuguese (written and spoken)
- Proven experience as an Interpreter, preferably in a professional setting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey messages accurately and clearly
- Strong knowledge of cultural differences and the ability to adapt accordingly
- Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines
- Biometric passport (preferred)
- Availability for urgent jobs when needed

Salary:
The salary for this position is 900$ per month.
