Job Title: Indian Executive Chef in Mombasa


We are a luxury resort in Mombasa seeking an experienced Indian Executive Chef to join our culinary team. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. We are looking for a talented and creative chef who is passionate about Indian cuisine and has a deep understanding of its flavors and techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and create menus that showcase authentic Indian dishes while also incorporating local ingredients
- Oversee food preparation and ensure all dishes are cooked to perfection and presented beautifully
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and helpers
- Monitor food supplies and place orders when necessary to maintain stock levels
- Enforce hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen at all times
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of food service throughout the resort
- Continuously strive to improve the quality of dishes and enhance guest satisfaction
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques or ingredients into menus

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel, with a focus on Indian cuisine
- Proven track record of creating innovative menus that reflect traditional Indian flavors as well as modern twists
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of Swahili is a plus.
- Biometric passport or willing to obtain one before starting employment
