Indian Executive Chef for Luxury Resort in Mombasa
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Indian Executive Chef to join our luxury resort in Mombasa. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations and ensuring the highest quality of food and service for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and develop innovative menus that showcase authentic Indian cuisine while also catering to international tastes
- Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of all dishes in accordance with hotel standards
- Train and manage kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and other kitchen employees
- Maintain inventory levels and control food costs to meet budgetary requirements
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in the kitchen
- Collaborate with other departments to plan and execute special events or themed dinners
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and constantly strive for improvement in menu offerings
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a luxury hotel or resort setting
- Extensive knowledge of Indian cuisine, cooking techniques, and ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to obtain a work visa for Kenya (visa sponsorship available)
- 12th grade education or equivalent required
