Barista - Coffee Shop, Nairobi



Are you a passionate barista with experience in the coffee industry? We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Barista to join our team at our busy coffee shop in the heart of Nairobi. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality coffee and providing exceptional customer service to our loyal patrons.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold coffee drinks according to customer preferences
- Ensure consistent quality of all beverages by following proper recipes and techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including equipment and utensils
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and resolving any complaints or issues
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales
- Keep track of inventory levels and notify management when supplies need to be restocked
- Stay up-to-date with current coffee trends and make recommendations to improve menu offerings
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role in the coffee industry preferred
- Knowledge of different brewing methods (e.g. French press, pour over) is an asset
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (English proficiency required)
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
Salary:
1100$ per month (based on experience)
