Entry Level Turner in Nakuru, Kenya


We are hiring an Entry Level Turner to join our team in Nakuru, Kenya. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines and tools used for shaping and cutting metal parts.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate various manual and automated machines such as lathes, grinders, and milling machines
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications for the required part
- Measure and mark material for cutting or shaping using precision tools
- Use different cutting tools to remove excess material or shape the metal part to the required dimensions
- Inspect finished parts for quality assurance and make necessary adjustments if needed
- Maintain and repair machines as needed to ensure smooth operation
- Follow safety protocols at all times while working with heavy machinery

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education is preferred
- Previous experience in a similar role is not required but is a plus
- Ability to read technical drawings and use measuring tools accurately
- Basic knowledge of machine maintenance
- Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination
- Willingness to learn new skills
