Preservation Architect


We are seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Lisbon, Portugal. As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures, ensuring they maintain their cultural and architectural significance. This role requires a strong understanding of architectural styles, materials, and construction techniques used in historic buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on the history, design, and construction of historic buildings.
- Inspect and assess the condition of historic structures to identify areas for preservation or restoration.
- Develop preservation plans that adhere to local and national regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to execute preservation projects.
- Source appropriate materials for restoration work.
- Supervise restoration work to ensure it follows established guidelines and maintains the integrity of the structure.
- Prepare detailed reports on the progress of preservation projects.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
- Proven experience in preservation or restoration work.
- Strong knowledge of architectural styles, building materials, and construction techniques used in historic buildings.
- Familiarity with local and national regulations related to historic preservation.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in documentation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software.

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1600$ per month.

This position is based in Lisbon, Portugal.
