Librarian Technician

We are hiring a skilled Librarian Technician to join our team in Alta, Norway. As a Librarian Technician, you will be responsible for assisting with the organization and management of library materials, as well as providing support to library patrons.

In this role, you will be expected to have previous experience in a library setting and possess excellent organizational and communication skills. A biometric passport is required for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Assist patrons with locating and accessing library materials
- Catalog and organize new materials using the Library of Congress classification system
- Maintain accurate records of the library's collection
- Process new library cards for patrons
- Provide technology support to patrons, such as troubleshooting computers and printers
- Assist with planning and implementing library programs and events
- Keep the library clean and organized
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient operations of the library

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficiency in using technology, including computers, printers, and electronic databases
- Biometric passport required
