We are currently hiring for an Office Assistant to join our team in Eldoret, Kenya. As an Office Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. You will be working closely with the office manager and other team members to ensure tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate person or take messages
- Maintain office supplies inventory by checking stock levels and placing orders as needed
- Sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail for delivery
- File and organize paperwork, documents, and electronic information
- Schedule appointments and update calendars for team members
- Perform data entry tasks as needed
- Assist with various administrative tasks such as photocopying, faxing, scanning, etc.
- Keep the office clean and organized at all times
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in office administration are a plus
- Proven experience as an office assistant or in a similar role
- Working knowledge of office equipment such as printers, copiers, scanners, etc.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
Salary: $1500 per month
