Junior Accountant

We are hiring a highly motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team in Funchal. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks, including but not limited to data entry, reconciliations, and financial report preparation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in the field of accounting and develop their skills.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with data entry and maintaining accurate records of financial transactions
- Reconcile bank statements and other accounts on a regular basis
- Prepare balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Participate in the month-end close process
- Support the preparation of tax returns and other compliance requirements
- Collaborate with other team members to improve internal processes and procedures

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills and ability to work with colleagues from diverse backgrounds

Salary:
This position offers a salary of $1600 per month.
