Sous Chef
We are in search of a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team in Manama. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management. You must have a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes while ensuring top-notch quality and consistency. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong understanding of various cooking techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and creating new dishes
- Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production
- Ensure all food items are properly stored, labeled, and rotated
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Oversee food preparation to ensure dishes are made according to recipes and quality standards
- Collaborate with other chefs to develop new menu items or improve existing ones
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a busy kitchen environment
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide kitchen staff
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality dishes consistently
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification is preferred
