Executive Chef (Indian Cuisine) - Seasonal
As an Executive Chef specializing in Indian cuisine, you will be responsible for the overall management and operations of our restaurant kitchen in Eldoret. You will oversee a team of cooks and other kitchen staff, ensuring that all dishes are prepared and presented according to our high standards. Your main focus will be on creating and developing a diverse menu featuring traditional Indian dishes, while also incorporating modern twists and techniques. You will also be responsible for maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, and managing food costs. This is a seasonal position with accommodation provided, as well as a free visa and ticket for qualified candidates.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-end restaurant
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Indian cuisine and cooking techniques
- Creative flair for developing new dishes and menus
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English (proficiency in Hindi or other Indian languages is a plus)
Salary: $1100 per month
City: Eldoret, Kenya (accommodation provided)
Preference: Indian nationality preferred but open to all qualified candidates
