Interpreter - English/Indian


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Interpreter to join our team in Akron, Ohio. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between English-speaking and Indian clients in a variety of settings, including business meetings, medical appointments, and legal proceedings.

Responsibilities:
- Act as a liaison between English-speaking and Indian clients by accurately interpreting spoken communication
- Translate written documents from English to Indian languages and vice versa
- Provide cultural context to ensure effective communication and understanding
- Maintain confidentiality of all interpreted conversations and documents
- Attend meetings, appointments, and events with clients as needed
- Adapt quickly to different dialects and accents

Requirements:
- Native or near-native proficiency in both English and any Indian language (Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, etc.)
- Proven experience as an Interpreter or similar role
- Excellent verbal communication skills in both English and the Indian language
- Strong knowledge of cultural norms and customs in India
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

Salary: $1600 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Akron, Ohio (remote work may be considered)

Employment type: Contract position with potential for permanent employment
