Librarian vacancy in Al-Khor Qatar

Junior Librarian


We are searching for a Junior Librarian to join our team in Al-Khor, Qatar. As a Junior Librarian, you will assist with the day-to-day operations of the library and support the Librarian in managing the collection and providing services to library users.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials
- Help with cataloging and classifying new materials using standard library procedures
- Assist with circulation services, including checking materials in and out, placing holds, and collecting fines
- Provide basic reference services to library users, such as helping them locate materials or answering simple research questions
- Assist with planning and implementing programs and events to promote the use of the library's resources
- Help maintain a clean and orderly library environment by shelving books, tidying up work areas, and performing other tasks as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or a related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a library setting is a plus but not required
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
- Proficiency in using computers and basic office software

This is an entry-level position suitable for recent graduates or individuals looking to start their career in librarianship. The salary for this position is 1400 USD per month. This position does not include accommodation but visa sponsorship can be provided if needed.
