Junior Database Administrator


We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Junior Database Administrator to join our team in Almada. As a Junior DBA, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases, ensuring their security and availability. This is a full-time position with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Design and implement database backup and recovery plans
- Ensure data integrity and security by implementing appropriate measures
- Assist in database capacity planning to ensure scalability for future growth
- Collaborate with developers to optimize database structures for better performance
- Stay updated on the latest database technologies and make recommendations for improvement

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- Knowledge of SQL, Oracle, MySQL, or other relational databases
- Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and administration principles
- Familiarity with database security protocols and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Salary: 1500$
