Tiler - Independent Contractor


We are seeking a skilled and reliable Tiler to join our team as an independent contractor in Svalbard. As a Tiler, you will be responsible for measuring and cutting tiles to fit specific spaces, preparing surfaces for tiling, and installing tiles in various patterns and designs.

Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut tiles to fit specific spaces using specialized tools
- Prepare surfaces for tiling by cleaning, leveling, and filling cracks or holes
- Install tiles in various patterns and designs, ensuring levelness and symmetry
- Mix and apply adhesive, grout, and sealant to secure tiles in place
- Repair or replace damaged or broken tiles as needed
- Follow safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Communicate with clients to understand their specific needs and preferences
- Keep work area clean and organized at all times

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Tiler or similar role
- Excellent knowledge of different tile materials, patterns, and installation techniques
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings is an asset
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials if needed
- Good communication skills with the ability to understand client needs
- Valid driver's license is preferred but not required

Salary: $1000 per project (may vary depending on project size)
Location: Svalbard (relocation may be provided depending on availability)
Contract Type: Independent Contractor (freelance)
Visa/Work Permit: Sponsorship available if needed
