Turner for Machine Shop in Vianden, Luxembourg



We are hiring a skilled Turner to join our machine shop team in Vianden, Luxembourg. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machinery, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary of 1500$ per month, with accommodation provided.

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual and CNC machines to produce parts within specified tolerances
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure accuracy of finished parts
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the production process
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve production processes and techniques

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Turner or similar role in a machine shop environment
- Proficient in operating manual and CNC machines, specifically lathes and milling machines
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
- Skilled in using precision measuring tools
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with different materials such as metal, plastic or wood
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for programming CNC machines
