Surveyor Assistant

We are a well-established surveying company based in Funchal and we are seeking a Surveyor Assistant to join our team. This is a contract job with a salary of 1700$ per month and does not include accommodation. We welcome both local and international candidates, however, you must have your own visa to work in Funchal. This is an excellent opportunity for freshers looking to gain experience in the surveying profession.

As a Surveyor Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the surveyor with various tasks such as collecting data, analyzing measurements, and creating reports. You will also be involved in setting up and maintaining survey equipment, as well as participating in field surveys.

To excel in this role, you must have a strong interest in surveying and possess excellent mathematical skills. You should also have basic knowledge of surveying techniques and equipment, as well as the ability to use computer-aided design (CAD) software.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the surveyor with data collection and analysis
- Set up and maintain survey equipment
- Participate in field surveys
- Use CAD software to assist with creating reports
- Perform basic calculations for measurements
- Ensure accuracy of collected data
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to the surveyor

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Geomatics or related field (preferred)
- Strong mathematical skills
- Basic knowledge of surveying techniques and equipment
