Hotel Sales Manager
The Hotel Sales Manager will oversee all aspects of sales and marketing for the hotel, ensuring that revenue and occupancy goals are met. They will develop and implement strategic sales plans to attract new business and maintain relationships with existing clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing, preferably in the hospitality industry, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. The Hotel Sales Manager will report directly to the General Manager and must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and occupancy
- Identify potential clients and generate leads through various channels (e.g. cold calls, networking events)
- Maintain relationships with existing clients through regular communication and excellent customer service
- Negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring that all terms are favorable for the hotel
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g. reservations, revenue management) to ensure seamless operations
- Analyze market trends and competition to determine pricing strategies
- Monitor sales performance and make adjustments as needed to achieve targets
- Prepare monthly sales reports for management
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to promote the hotel
- Train and mentor team members on effective sales techniques
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in hotel sales or a similar role
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Flexibility to work evenings or weekends when necessary
