Seasonal Executive Chef
We are in search of a skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team in Al-Khor, Egypt for a seasonal position. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for creating and executing high-quality menus and dishes that meet the expectations of our guests. You will also oversee the kitchen staff, manage food costs, and ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and cater to different dietary preferences
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure quality and consistency in food preparation
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs
- Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or promotions
- Maintain a positive working relationship with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of fresh ingredients
- Create new recipes that align with the overall concept of the restaurant
- Monitor customer feedback and make necessary adjustments to improve menu offerings
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques or ingredients into menu items
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and menu development
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with staff, suppliers, and customers
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- A passion for creating innovative dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures for handling food safely
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Experience working in a seasonal or resort setting
- Proficiency in multiple languages including English
Salary: 1600$ per month
