IT Manager

We are hiring an experienced IT Manager to oversee the technology operations of our company in Funchal. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information technology management, with a proven track record of implementing and maintaining efficient and secure systems. As the IT Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of IT professionals, developing and implementing technology strategies, monitoring system performance, and ensuring data security. This is a contract position with a salary of 1400$, without accommodation or visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement technology strategies in line with company goals.
- Oversee the maintenance and upgrade of existing systems.
- Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for implementation.
- Manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Ensure data security by implementing necessary measures.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify technology needs and provide solutions.
- Prepare budget proposals for technology projects.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in information technology management.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing and maintaining systems.
- Extensive knowledge of network infrastructure, hardware, software, and cybersecurity.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with various departments.
- Experience in budgeting and project management.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Experience working in the same industry as our company (insert industry here).
- Certification in relevant technologies (e.g. Cisco, Microsoft).
