Pastry Chef at a High-End Restaurant in Alta, Norway
We are seeking an experienced Pastry Chef to join our team at a high-end restaurant in Alta, Norway. As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing delicious pastries and desserts that will delight our customers' taste buds. You will work closely with our head chef to design new menu items and ensure that all pastry dishes are of the highest quality.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and preparing a variety of pastry dishes and desserts.
- Collaborating with the head chef to develop new menu items.
- Ensuring that all pastry dishes are prepared and presented according to the restaurant's standards.
- Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed.
- Training and supervising junior pastry chefs.
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen area.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of different types of pastries, baking techniques, and ingredients.
- Creativity and ability to design visually appealing desserts.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree or certification in Pastry Arts preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Pastry Chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel.
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Norwegian is a plus).
- Must be able to legally work in Norway.
Salary: 1700$ per month.
