Network and Systems Administrator (Part-Time)


We are in need of a skilled Network and Systems Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis in Porto, Portugal. As the Network and Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining our organization's network infrastructure and ensuring the smooth operation of our systems.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain network equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Implement security measures to protect the network from cyber threats
- Manage user accounts and permissions on various systems
- Perform regular backups and system updates to ensure data integrity
- Provide technical support to staff members with networking or system related problems
- Collaborate with other IT team members to plan and implement new technologies

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Network and Systems Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and concepts (LAN/WAN)
- Experience with network security tools such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems and virtualization technologies (VMware)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Good communication skills in English (Portuguese is a plus)
- Ability to work part-time hours on a flexible schedule

Salary:
This is a part-time position with a salary of 1200$ per month.

Location:
This position is located in Porto, Portugal. Candidates who are already based in Porto will be given preference.
