Executive Chef - Contract Position in Lisbon, Portugal


We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to join our team on a contract basis in Lisbon. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is consistently delivered to our customers.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create and implement menus that meet quality standards and customer preferences
- Train, motivate, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation
- Manage inventory levels and control food costs
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and improve existing ones
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate a diverse team
- Familiarity with menu design techniques and cost control measures
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating with others effectively

Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Culinary Arts or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a high-volume restaurant or hotel kitchen
- Valid work permit for Portugal (or willing to obtain one)
- Fluent in English (knowledge of Portuguese is an asset)
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1000$ per week for this contract position.
