Preservation Architect
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures in St. Petersburg. You will work with a team of architects, engineers, and construction workers to ensure that these historic sites are maintained and protected for future generations. Your duties will include conducting thorough assessments of the condition of the buildings, creating plans for restoration and preservation, overseeing construction projects, and ensuring that all work is done in accordance with preservation guidelines and regulations. Additionally, you may also be involved in public outreach and education programs to raise awareness about the importance of preserving historical landmarks. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent project management skills, and a passion for preserving cultural heritage.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in preservation architecture or historic preservation
- Knowledge of local building codes, preservation guidelines, and regulations
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Historic Preservation or related field
- Experience working on preservation projects in St. Petersburg
- Familiarity with traditional building materials and techniques used in historical structures
- Experience working with government agencies and historic preservation organizations
Salary: $1000/month
City: St. Petersburg
