Baker for a Bakery in Nakuru, Kenya

We are in need of an experienced Baker to join our team at a busy bakery located in Nakuru, Kenya. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, and other baked goods. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working as a Baker in a professional bakery setting and be familiar with traditional Nepali baking techniques.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare doughs and batters according to recipes
- Bake various types of breads, pastries, and other baked goods
- Decorate cakes and pastries with icing, glazes, toppings or fillings
- Monitor oven temperatures and adjust baking times as needed
- Maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies
- Ensure quality control by inspecting finished products for texture, appearance, and taste
- Clean and maintain work area and equipment

Requirements:
- Prior experience working as a Baker in a professional bakery setting
- Familiarity with traditional Nepali baking techniques preferred
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and measure ingredients precisely
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures
- Excellent time-management skills to ensure timely completion of orders
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy bags of flour or other ingredients
