Head Chef
Our restaurant in Mombasa is seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our team. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is consistently delivered to our customers. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1100 per month.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and develop menus that are unique, creative, and aligned with our restaurant's concept
- Train, supervise, and schedule kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Maintain food quality standards by conducting regular inspections and implementing improvements when necessary
- Monitor inventory levels and order ingredients as needed to maintain freshness
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition
- Collaborate with restaurant management to create specials and promotions that showcase the skills of the kitchen team
- Adhere to all sanitation, safety, and hygiene regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills with both staff members and customers
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary
