Senior Accountant


We are hiring a Senior Accountant to join our financial team in Lisbon. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and providing financial advice to management. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a multinational company. Knowledge of local tax laws and regulations is required. A degree in accounting or finance is also preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial transactions and ensure accuracy and compliance with local laws
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision making
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
- Conduct budgeting and forecasting activities
- Assist with tax filings and audits
- Train and supervise junior accountants

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (CPA or equivalent certification is a plus)
- Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting, preferably in a multinational company
- Strong knowledge of local tax laws and regulations
- Proficient in MS Office and accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Fluent in English (Portuguese language skills are a plus)
