Data Analytics Specialist - Funchal, Portugal


We are seeking an experienced and analytical Data Analytics Specialist to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. As a Data Analytics Specialist, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets and providing valuable insights and recommendations to inform business decisions. Your role will involve developing and implementing data collection methods, creating reports and visualizations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify trends and opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. This is a contract position with accommodation provided.
Salary for this position is 1600$ per month.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that drive business decisions
- Develop and maintain data collection processes that ensure accuracy and consistency
- Create reports and visualizations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven solutions
- Continuously monitor data quality and integrity to ensure accurate analysis
- Utilize various tools such as SQL, Excel, Python or R for data manipulation, cleaning, analysis, and visualization

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze large datasets efficiently
- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation is essential
- Experience working with statistical software such as R or Python is preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear manner
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Experience working with cross-functional teams is a plus
