Job Title: Remote Database Administrator in Braga, Portugal



We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Braga, Portugal. As a Remote Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases to ensure their smooth operation. This is a contract job without accommodation, so you must already reside in Braga or be willing to relocate at your own expense.

Key Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database systems
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Optimize database performance by fine-tuning queries and indexes
- Manage user access and security permissions
- Collaborate with developers to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval
- Conduct regular maintenance tasks such as database backups, upgrades, and patches

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of database management systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
- Familiarity with database design and data normalization principles
- Experience with disaster recovery and data backup procedures
- Understanding of SQL query optimization techniques
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C# is a plus
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
- Biometric passport required for remote access to our company's servers

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1100$ per month for this position.
