Executive Chef for Seasonal Restaurant in Porto, Portugal
We are a seasonal restaurant located in the beautiful city of Porto, Portugal. We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen team during our busy season. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes, as well as strong leadership skills to effectively manage and train our kitchen staff.
Responsibilities:
- Create menus that reflect the seasonal ingredients available in the region
- Oversee the entire kitchen operation, including food preparation and presentation
- Manage inventory and food costs to ensure profitability
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met at all times
- Collaborate with restaurant management to constantly improve menu offerings and dining experience
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Extensive knowledge of Portuguese cuisine and local ingredients
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
Salary: $1000 per week (depending on experience)
