Database Administrator

We are currently seeking a Database Administrator to join our team in Lahore on a contract basis. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's databases, ensuring their security, availability, and performance. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in database administration while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Ensure data security by implementing access controls and performing regular security audits
- Create and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and guidelines
- Work closely with developers to optimize database performance for applications
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure integration of databases with other systems

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of SQL language and database management systems such as MySQL or Oracle
- Familiarity with database design principles, data modeling, and normalization techniques
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to databases
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment

Salary: 1100$ per month

Location: Lahore (Pakistan)

This position is open for candidates without prior experience. However, candidates with relevant education or certification in database administration will be given preference.
