Executive Chef for Seasonal Restaurant in Plovdiv, Bulgaria
We are looking for a skilled Executive Chef to join our seasonal restaurant in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations and managing a team of chefs. This is a seasonal job with accommodation provided and visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus with seasonal ingredients and local specialties
- Train, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high levels of productivity and creativity
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high quality standards are met
- Monitor food cost and inventory levels to maximize profitability
- Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met
- Collaborate with management to develop new dishes and improve existing ones
- Ensure compliance with all health codes and regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or similar role in a fine dining or upscale restaurant
- Excellent leadership skills with ability to manage and motivate a team
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to create innovative dishes while maintaining traditional flavors
- Strong understanding of food cost control techniques
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Bulgarian is a plus)
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1500$ per month along with accommodations during the seasonal period. Visa sponsorship is also available for qualified candidates.
