Excavator Operator



We are seeking an experienced Excavator Operator to join our team in Almada. As an Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment to excavate, move and grade earth and materials on construction sites. Your main duty will be to operate the excavator safely and efficiently, while following all safety guidelines and protocols.

Responsibilities:
- Operate the excavator to dig trenches, foundations, and other earthworks as per project specifications
- Ensure safe operation of the equipment by conducting pre-operational checks and following all safety guidelines
- Use hand signals or radio communication to direct and coordinate with other workers on the construction site
- Monitor speed, direction, and depth of equipment during operation to avoid accidents or damage to underground utilities
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning as needed
- Keep accurate records of daily activities including equipment hours, fuel usage, materials moved, etc.
- Communicate any issues or concerns with the equipment or site conditions to supervisors in a timely manner

Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience operating an excavator on construction sites
- Valid operator's license for heavy equipment (excavator)
- Good understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to heavy equipment operation
- Ability to read construction plans and follow instructions accurately
- Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Fluent in Portuguese (Spanish is a plus)

We offer a competitive salary of 1000$ per month for this full-time position. This role does not include accommodation but we do provide free visa sponsorship and ticket for international candidates. Freshers with relevant training or education may also be considered.
