Indian Chef
We are in need of an experienced Indian Chef to join our team in Sharjah. As an Indian Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of traditional Indian dishes for our restaurant. Your main goal will be to ensure that all dishes are prepared according to authentic recipes and meet our high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Indian dishes, including curries, biryanis, and tandoori items
- Ensure that all ingredients are fresh and of high quality
- Monitor food stock levels and place orders as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and food safety standards
- Create new dishes or modify existing ones to keep the menu fresh and exciting
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area at all times
- Collaborate with restaurant management on menu planning and cost control measures
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as an Indian Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel
- Expertise in preparing a variety of traditional Indian dishes using authentic recipes
- Strong knowledge of spices, herbs, and other ingredients used in Indian cuisine
- Good communication skills (English proficiency preferred)
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed
Salary:
The salary for this position is $1600 per month.
